60 Minute Stain Grade Fire Door

We offer 20, 45, 60 and 90 minute rated CENTURY, PREMIER and CONCORD fire doors in stain grade [Century & Concord] or paint grade [Premier & Concord]. [Options gallery]
If economy is the priority, we offer 20 minute rated inlayed moulding fire doors [shown upper right] to match the design of your other doors, be they paint grade or stain grade. These are available in the SIGNATURE, LEGEND, LITE, REGENCY, TUSCANY and PALERMO profiles. [Options gallery]
As another option - 45, 60 and 90 minute rated mineral core fire doors are available with our SIGNATURE and #523 plant-on moulding. These are available with the moulding on both sides or one side only - using the same design as the rest of the doors in the project [shown lower right]. [Options gallery] Plant-on moulding kits are also offered for application onto customer supplied flush doors [i.e. metal doors].
Vision lites are available in our 20 and 45 minute stain and paint grade doors as well as most of our 60 and 90 minute paint grade doors. It should be noted that the maximum sizes of lites for each door rating are based on tested sizes and may exceed local code requirements. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that the requested vision lite(s) meet local building codes.
In 1997 the International Council of Building Officials (ICBO) approved a change to the Uniform Building Code (UBC) that requires fire doors to be tested under positive pressure instead of neutral pressure. Many code groups across the U.S. have adopted the International Building Code (IBC) which also contains the requirement for positive pressure.
All fire doors must meet the requirements of recognized fire door tests and bear certifying labels of an independent testing agency. A PDF file describing the positive pressure listing categories can be downloaded.
It is very important that architects, contractors and distributors are aware of the requirements in their area so the appropriate type of door is supplied [Cat. A or B, smoke seals, etc.]. Door manufacturers are not responsible for interpretations of local codes.
Installation is required to be in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association's Publication NFPA 80, 'Standard for Fire Doors and Fire Windows'. Machined fire doors shall be provided with detailed installation instructions when doors bear a label indicating compliance to UBC 7-2-1997 or UL 10C.
